Generally, the section of a normal pipe has a certain degree of deformation tendency. For the deformed pipe, it means that the standard rounding treatment has not been carried out in the production process. Normal pipe deformation has the following states:

1. Section elliptical deformation

The degree of ellipse deformation is called ellipticity. Generally speaking, the larger the bending angle, the smaller the bending radius, the larger the diameter, the thinner the tube wall, and the larger the ovality produced during bending. Recommended bending radius: the bending radius of the cold-formed elbow is more than 4 times the nominal diameter, and the bending radius of the hot-formed elbow is more than 3.5 times.

2. Wall deformation

The outer tube wall is elongated and thinned, and the farther from the neutral layer, the more the tube wall is elongated, and thus the more thinned; the inner tube wall is shortened and thickened.

3. The inner tube wall is wrinkled and deformed

When bending thin pipes, the inner pipe wall of the ppr plastic pipe equipment is in the process of compression deformation, because the metal structure is not stable enough, in addition to thickening, it will also produce wrinkle deformation, the thinner the pipe wall, the worse the structural stability , the easier it is to produce wrinkle deformation.

Thinning of the outer pipe wall reduces the strength of the bend. The elliptical deformation of the section, on the one hand, will reduce the effective section of the pipe and increase the fluid resistance, and on the other hand will reduce the ability of the elbow to resist internal pressure. Wrinkle deformation will increase fluid resistance and make the shape of the elbow unsightly.
